Course Correction: Integrating User Feedback to Make Changes Big & Small

We will discuss ways to get to know your users and invite feedback through informal patron suggestions, formal surveys, usability studies, demographic information, as well as building relationships and starting conversations.
After gathering feedback, we have made large changes such as a new ILS and renovated rooms, free or low cost changes such as reconfiguring our space and focusing our collection development efforts on print books instead of eBooks.
Come brainstorm ways to invite, evaluate, and implement patron suggestions to create a user‐centered library experience.

Facilitators: Lindsay Roberts and Andrea Reveley
Lindsay Roberts is an Assistant Professor at University of Colorado Boulder and subject liaison to the School of Education and Department of Linguistics. Her research interests focus on motivational design, transfer of learning, and metacognition/metaliteracy, particularly as they relate to adult learners. Roberts earned her MLIS from University of Denver and her BA in French and Humanities from CU Boulder. Before joining CU Boulder, Roberts worked as Reference and Outreach Librarian at Arapahoe Community College and was a graduate assistant in Research and Instruction at Auraria Library.
Andrea Reveley is the technology and digital services librarian at Arapahoe Community College. She has worked in both public and academic libraries throughout her career and focuses on serving users in unique ways. Her interests are data gathering, usage trends and services for remote users. Andrea earned her MLS from University of North Texas and her BA from The University of Montana in Anthropology.
