This is the third and final webinar in the Helping Patrons With Legal Questions series presented by the Colorado Association of Law Libraries and the Colorado State Library.
In this session, attendees will learn about researching federal laws and secondary sources. This will include an overview about federal laws and information about where to find federal statutes. The session will also provide attendees with a basic overview of the various types of secondary sources and why they are useful.

Facilitator: Michele Masias
Michele is a Law Librarian on the U.S. Department of Justice Libraries staff. She joined the staff in 2005, left in 2009 to serve as the Law Librarian at the Executive Office of the President, and returned to the library staff in 2012. She has over 20 years of library experience in positions that include serving as the Library Manager at the Defense Technical Information Center and as a Technical Information Specialist at the Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation Library in Denver, Colorado. She’s taught library related courses at the Catholic University of America and has written articles published in SLA’s Information Outlook, Colorado Libraries, Law Library Lights, and the United States Attorneys’ Bulletin. She’s a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, the Law Librarians Society of Washington, D.C., and the Colorado Association of Law Libraries.
