Restarting your Relationship with your IT Department (and Vice Versa)
January 13, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm MST
- Have you tried turning it off and back on?
- Is it unplugged?
- Is the Internet down?
- Why can’t I just download it myself?
Do these questions define your relationship with your IT department (or conversely IT’s relationship with library staff)? Do you hear (or say) things like this often? You are not alone!
Join us for an interactive and lighthearted session about bridging the communication gap between IT and library staff, so that we all can collaborate and innovate as a team.
Facilitator: Ashley Kazyaka and Christine Kreger
Ashley Kazyaka is the Colorado State Library’s resident graphic  designer and expert on library makerspaces and all things geeky, and helps coordinate the myriad of projects happening in Library Development. She is not, in fact, actually Iron Man.
Christine Kreger is the Colorado State Library’s first full-time Professional Development Consultant, bringing over 25 years of training and continuing education experience to the table. Early on, she focused on face-to-face instruction, and group presentations, but recently has developed an appreciation for the power of interactive training, both in person and online.
