About the presenters: 

Nimita Weiss, with 25 years of experience in education, including teaching, administration and working at the district level, has a passion for making inclusive spaces for all students, but especially students who have been traditionally marginalized. 

With over two decades of dedicated teaching experience in both elementary and middle school settings, Tara Degelmann is deeply passionate about nurturing young minds and fostering a lifelong love for literacy. Throughout her career, Tara has been committed to creating engaging and inclusive learning environments where students feel empowered to explore the wonders of language and literature. Tara’s teaching philosophy revolves around cultivating not only academic skills but also critical thinking, creativity, and a sense of curiosity.
