SHIP Partners & Services Manager (State Health Insurance Program)
In this hourlong webinar, Colorado library professionals will be invited to learn about the State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) and how to connect their senior neighbors and library visitors with crucial healthcare services, meet affordability needs, access benefits, and overcome the barriers that often leave seniors confused and frustrated. While some library staff operate as SHIP counselors in their areas, others navigate neighbors to where those counselors are and to resource networks that can better serve them. Other libraries use their network of neighbors to recruit SHIP counselor volunteers and staff, providing opportunities for neighbor-to-neighbor and peer support. How we support our communities depends on what we know is out there for us to tap into as a resource. This webinar seeks to answer that question for Colorado library workers.
