November 30, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm MST

Thanks to a generous grant from the Betty and Gordon Moore foundation, the STAR Library Network (based at the Space Science Institute in Boulder) will provide an in-person training in Grand Junction for Colorado public library staff to prepare and empower staff to facilitate meaningful solar and space science programs for their patrons that build curiosity, knowledge, and inspiration. Attendees will receive hands-on training on solar telescopes, low-cost methods of solar viewing, and interactive solar and space science programming designed for the library setting. STAR Net facilitators bring many years of experience in working with informal STEM learning institutions like libraries, and have provided excellent training (and many other projects) to the Colorado library community for many years.
